For He has spoken

Bodies buried in the sand
Journey to the Holy Land
Converging on the path to heaven
Saving grace their only plan
Soldiers dying on the way
Bodies, spirits led astray
The Templar laden with a lonely road
To save their souls, they pray

Bring all your sins to erase
And rise or fall by the blade
Such blind faith not hard to see

Bringing death across the sea
Messina port to the Holy Land

All is as God wills for every man

For He has spoken

The freezing cold of desert night
The blistering heat of desert day
Was to cut their numbers down
Oh, so cruel
Before they made across the sea
Unto the land of Galilee
It wasn’t God’s design
To see them die this way

From the sight of Jerusalem
To the sound of all the armies on the ground
The Holy Land
And the last crusade was almost in their grasp
For salvation or for greed
They crossed the world in search of Thee
Bearing with them all their sins
To the Kingdom that forgives

Never was such blind faith put to the fore
And it never will be seen anymore
